What We Do

The statutory framework assigns two main areas of work to An Rialálaí Agraibhia (Agri-Food Regulator):

  • Compliance with and enforcement of unfair trading law and,
  • Provision of information on the agri-food supply chain through engagement with stakeholders and the analysis of price and market data.

The Agri-Food Regulator’s work will focus on promoting fairness and transparency in business-to-business relationships along agri-food supply chain through active engagement with stakeholders including primary producers (farmers and fishers), processors, downstream businesses and retailers in addition to representative bodies of the various sectors.
